Preparing for the Sale

For Our Spring and Summer Sale

We will accept all spring and summer clothing, toys, furniture, and gear. Spring and summer items include: bathing suits, shorts, capri pants, Easter clothes, 4th of July outfits, sandals, etc. Again, we have a boutique section for all your finer items.

For our Fall and Winter Sale

We will accept all fall and winter clothing, toys, furniture, and gear.  Fall and winter clothing includes: Christmas outfits, coats, sweaters, snow overalls, snow boots, winter accessories, Halloween costumes, etc.  We will have a special section for Halloween costumes and a boutique for holiday finery.

Supplies

Supplies needed: hangers, safety pins, packing tape, Ziploc bags, staples, #60- #67 Card Stock for printing your tags.

Pricing and Labeling:

Please make sure your clothes are affixed to the hangers securely.  Please be sure to bring large safety pins to attach your clothes to the hangers and the tags on the clothes. Please do not use straight pins for at all. Hangers will not be returned.

Plastic bags are required for shoes, accessories, toys, and books.  New this year- please staple them shut with the tag on the outside.  Use packing tape to attach all parts to toys and tags to non-clothing items, such as stuffed animals or bedding.  When you affix your tags to your items please do not tape, staple, or pin through the bar code on your tags.

When pricing your items please keep in mind that you are here to sell as much as possible, so please price accordingly.

Please follow the instructions below for preparing your items for the sale:

•  Hang all clothing items on hangers with the hook facing left. 

•  Attach the tag on the top right side (as you face it) of the clothing.

•  Pin pants and skirts to hangers by the waistband. 

•  For two-piece outfits, pin the waistband of the pants to the shoulders of the top. If you pin the pants to the bottom of the shirt it could tear the shirt.

•  All toys, equipment, and furniture must be clean and in working order. Small parts should be bagged and taped to the main part securely.

•  Please place socks, bibs, bottles, hats, and small toys inside Ziploc bags and staple them securely. Staple your tag to the outside of the bag.

•  All shoes need to be placed in a Ziploc bag with the tag stapled to the outside.

•  Please do not bring out-of-season, stained, ripped, torn, or damaged items. 

•  All items should be clean and ironed if needed.

•  Please put working batteries in all items that require them. Also, if you have a manual for an item, please include it.

•  Car seats must be clean, no more than three years old, and never involved in an accident.

•  Chatham Kids Consignment Sale reserves the right to not sell any items deemed inappropriate, out of style, dirty, torn, or that do not appear to be in acceptable condition.

•  Chatham Kids Consignment Sale cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen items.

•  All items that lose their tags will be set aside until the end of the sale for identification and pickup by the consignor.

 

 
Our next sale will be March 19 th and 20th. We are excited to announce that we will be in the same location again in the Lowe's Foods Shopping Center, Cole Park Plaza, US Hwy 15/501 at Manns Chapel Rd, Chapel Hill, NC  27517.
